So, in this article, we will show you how to manage, delete, or pause the location history of your iPhone or iPad.
On your iPhone, tap Settings → Privacy → Location Services → System Services → Significant Locations ("Frequent Locations" in some phones).
After authentication, you'll find a list of places you've visited along with their names and dates. You can remove individual locations or delete the entire history by simply scrolling down and selecting "Clear History." To pause location history, just turn off the Significant Locations feature.
If you use the Google Maps app and are logged in to your Google account, open the app and tap the Account icon → Your Timeline → More (three horizontal dots) → Settings. Select the option to delete location history, then turn off location tracking options if you want.
In your phone, go to Settings → Privacy → Location Services. Here you'll see a list of apps that have access to Location Services on your iPhone. Tap an app you want to control and choose an adequate level of location access: Never, Ask Next Time, While Using the App, or Always.
If you don't want any apps to access your location, go to Settings → Privacy → Location Services and tap on the toggle next to "Location Services." This is good for your privacy and saves your phone's battery life, but the disadvantage is that useful services like Apple or Google Maps may not work.
